How To Own 2015...And Keep Your New Year's Goals

Make 2015 the year you make it happen. Whatever your "IT" is.

For many of my friends and family, gaining control of their weight and overall health is a priority. For me, staying the course is the goal but that's never easy. I am a recovering a fat girl and and am always a Golden Corral buffet away from my orca phase.

The thing is, whether you're at your ideal weight or fitness level or still trying to get there, your health should be one of your top priorities. If you do not have a healthy body and spirit, nothing else matters (Tweet this). Simply put:

If you don't have your health, you don't have anything.

We know that resolutions, many times, fail. I prefer not to think in terms of resolutions for a new year but in goals. It's scientifically proven that writing down goals helps you achieve them.

So to help you do just that, I have created a simple download that you can print and write down your goals to help you rock them. Click HERE to download your 2015 goals worksheet.

Be Realistic
Don't put too much pressure on yourself. We're all human. There will be days that we eat too much candy or miss a workout. We will yell at people we love and feel fat. We WILL get off track. The key is to jump right back on when we do get off track. Little missteps are a part of life. It's how we rebound from them that help define us.

  1. I plan to get healthy and fit this year. No weight goals, no inch goals, just feel healthy and wonderful!

  2. I plan on running again this year. Having a baby kind of derailed that, but now there are no more excuses as my baby is now a 18 month old toddler! Thanks for helping me focus for the New Year!

    1. Thank you for sharing, Michelle! I understand that baby thing, sister. It's funny, the first thing I did to resume my "normal" life after having my daughter was to start exercising again (like 2 weeks after). I joke that I don't go to therapy. I exercise...although, at this point, I probably need therapy. :) Good luck resuming running! Love that runner's high.

  3. My ongoing goal is to grow OMT! as we connect with others looking for a soft place to land.

  4. My goal is to grow also! In more than one way in many areas in my life. I decided to do the One Little Word Challenge to help me stay focused on my intentions for the year.

  5. I would like to cook more meals at home so that I can eat healthier. I would also like to workout more often. I don't at all now so I'm starting with taking my dogs on walks EVERY DAY and then adding as the year progresses.

    1. Cooking more is one of my goals, too. That daily walk is a great place to start. Listen to a book on your iPod or a podcast, it will keep you going.

  6. I plan on eating more fruits and veggies every week. I had it going for a while in 2014 but then work life ruined it a little :| Hope to get back on it this year!
